Residents and visitors alike can enjoy all four seasons in Cayuga County. Our average high temperature typically hits in July, but it tends to be lower than the national average.  The region also provides excellent air and water quality, which ranks better than the national average.

*Sperling’s Best Places collected the average high and low temperatures for every day of the year. Their “comfort index”(10=best) uses the number of days annually where the high temperature fell within the commonly accepted comfort range of 70-80 degrees. Plus, they penalized places which are not only hot, but hot and sticky, using summer dew point values.
