Just as Mother Nature gave us one last reminder (hopefully!) of winter, Dickman Farms Greenhouse and Garden Center opened for the season last Friday, 3/17.  As most people can attest, Dickman’s opening is always Cayuga County’s unofficial beginning of spring!  To make this season’s opening even warmer for this fifth generation Cayuga County business, Dickman Farms was recognized in this month’s publication of Big Grower Magazine!

Big Grower is Greenhouse Product News’ national publication, which provides larger greenhouse facilities information to compete in today’s marketplace.  The featured story about Dickman Farms is a fascinating piece about one of our county’s longest operating businesses.  Founded in 1903, Dickman’s has operated alongside many other agribusinesses in Cayuga County, a top-seller of agricultural products in New York State.

I encourage you to read this article as it provides the great story of Dickman Farms’ history and what has led them to become one of our County’s most dynamic businesses and a driving force in their industry: http://www.gpnmag.com/article/cover-story-embracing-opportunity/.
