Do you know a middle or high school student between the ages of 11 and 18, who has a great idea, passion, talent, skill, or is interested in starting their own business? If so, the Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!), a program of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, is here to help them get their ideas off the ground and into motion!

The Young Entrepreneurs Academy is a 30-week program that teaches students how to start and run their own, REAL businesses. Students brainstorm business ideas, write a business plan, pitch their plan to investors for funding at a “Shark Tank” like Investor Panel Event, and actually launch their own business or social movement. All of the learning is real and experiential. Students leave the class as business owners, complete with a DBA and bank account!

YEA!, hosted at Cayuga Community College’s Auburn Campus, is excited to announce that they are currently accepting nominations and applications for the 2019-2020 academic year. YEA! is held once a week, beginning in October and ending in May.

The application process is competitive and spots are filling up fast! Applications are reviewed and students are accepted on a rolling basis. Students are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.

For an application or for more information, please contact local Program Manager Pam Heleen by emailing pamela.heleen@cayuga-cc.edu.
