CEDA Strategic Plan

The strategic plan CEDA is preparing will provide many useful pieces of information. It will serve to identify what drives the Auburn and Cayuga County economy and what future trends may have the greatest impact. This would include but not be limited to:

• a summary of the area economy and identification of the key economic forces within our region
• a sector analysis of the current business and industry mix
• an assessment of the area’s economic strengths and weaknesses
• an assessment of the businesses and industries that align with our strengths and economic vision

An action plan will be developed for achieving measurable business and economic development goals.

It is very important to begin the strategic planning process by late summer 2010. A wide variety of feedback has been received via a community forum and will assist in the development of the planning process. CEDA’s strategic plan will be the foundation for implementing the mission of the agency over the next three years. The strategic plan will provide a blueprint for creating an action plan.
